Jayne Ward - Makaton Tutor

Hello, thank you for stopping by and checking out my website!

This is me - (not the best

photo!) but then again its

not about me, its about

you, or you and your organisation.

I might not be the best web designer! and I'm definitely not an IT expert! but I've been teaching Makaton for

the past 15 years and am passionate about it!  As a qualified tutor I know how us humans learn and its not through "death by power point" and neither is it through stressful training!(believe me I've been on both!). The workshops I deliver are well organised, reliable, relaxing

and fun. What you see is what you

get, a warm personal welcome, value for money and you'll walk away feeling confident enough to use Makaton yourself, whether that's with children or adults xxx

My policies and procedures

Health and safety

As a Makaton Charity licenced Tutor I follow the recommended Health and Safety requirements for each workshops including:

  • Up to date risk assessments with action plans

  • Up to date indemnity and public liability insurance

  • I follow local safeguarding procedures

Equality and Diversity

Makaton supports people to have a voice and inclusion is a crucial element of all the Makaton workshops and services on offer.  Accessibility and differentiation is an important part of learning, please feel free to discuss your needs when booking

Environmental Policy

As a small business (and an ethical human being!) I believe in looking after our world and the animals and environment's within it. I am an ethical vegan myself and do my best to try and limit my footprint on this world. Therefore I:

  •  limit waste and paper usage as much as possible

  • I limit my fuel consumption (I have a tiny car!)

  • I shop locally

  • I re-use and recycle where possible and use sustainable materials (if you're in Sheffield you might bump into me in a charity shop!)

Booking and Payments

Bookings can be made via this website, the Makaton Charity website, or by contacting me directly. I  understand that stuff happens! If you realise you can't make a workshop we can always look at swapping you on another workshop, or as long as you give me enough time to fill your place I'm very happy to give you a refund.

if you're an organisation I can supply an invoice and you can either book staff individually on workshops or get in touch to see about having your own bespoke one?

Thank you so much for getting through the blurb! hopefully I'll see you on a workshop! take care xx
