Level 1 Workshop
The Level 1 workshop is a beginners workshop and both parents/carers and professionals are very welcome to join.
The workshop includes an introduction to Makaton and its benefits and you will learn over 70 signs and symbols from the Core vocabulary as well as the alphabet.
This workshop is delivered over a minimum of 6 hours and you can attend over a full day or over two mornings or evenings. Level 1 workshops can be delivered via Zoom or face to face and can be booked exclusively for your organisation.
Included in the price is a participant manual and a certificate for each attendee. If you would like this workshop delivering exclusively to your organisation then please get in touch for more details and costs.
Level 2 workshop
The level 2 workshop follows on from the level 1 workshop and builds on previous learning whilst introducing stage 3, 4 and part B of the Additional vocabulary.
When you've finished Level 2 workshop you'll also be able to continue your learning with other Makaton workshops, for example, you'll be able to attend the more specialised Safeguarding Workshop.
This workshop can be delivered over a full day or split into morning or evening afternoons.
Each participant will receive a participant manual with all the signs and symbols included and certificate.
Level 3 Workshop
Level 3 training helps you to improve and develop your signing and symbol skills and how to use them effectively every day.
You will revise the signs and symbols you learned in your Level 1 and 2 training, and learn the signs and symbols for Stages 5 and 6 of the Core Vocabulary.
This workshop can be delivered over a full day or split into two mornings or evenings. Again, each participant will receive a participant manual with all the signs and symbols and a certificate.
Level 4 Workshop
The Level 4 workshop is the last workshop in the Core Vocabulary series and in this workshop you will revise the signs and symbols you learned in your Level 1, 2 and 3 training, and learn the signs and symbols for Stages 7 and 8 of the Core Vocabulary.
Again, this workshop is delivered over a full day or over 2 mornings or evenings. Each participant will receive a participant manual and a certificate.
